Karla Torres

After graduating from Francisco Bravo Medical Magnet Senior High School at age 18 Karla moved from Los Angeles, California to pursue a degree in Health Science at San Diego State University. She obtained her degree in December 2002. Karla has worked in the community for over 10 years. Now with the support of her husband and children she will be returning to SDSU to obtain a Masters degree in Public Health. Karla is a strong believer in prevention and with this she will continue to educate community members to make this world a healthier place for the sake of our children.


 

Lily Chousa

Lily completed her Bachelor in Art Education and Phsycology in Buenos Aires- Argentina. For many years Lily was a Science teacher at the high school level. Her passion for the HIV/AIDS field began in 1996 when she began teaching people living with Aids how to enrich there diets. In 1997 she moved to San Diego and since has worked with programs such as AIDS Foundation, The Center, HARP (Holistic Aids Response Program). Today she supervises the outreach team and works together with the group to complete formative research data.

David Rodriguez

David is currently working on his bachelor's degree at San Diego State University. Originally from Calexico, California, David came to San Diego in 1999. He is part of our outreach team which gathers the data we need for our formative research in order to make the most of the information we collect through our surveys. This includes focus groups, interviews , and observation data collection through out San Diego.
